REMNANT AJ Group Limited, one of the contactor who was engaged by the National Housing Corporation to connect the sewage system at the NHC’s new Durand Project site donated a new vehicle to NHC on Friday, 7th June, 2024.
The key of the new vehicle that costed the company close to K150, 000 was presented to the NHC’s project management division who will be using the vehicle to do inspection on the Durand project site on a daily basis.
NHC Acting Managing Director Abel Tol while thanking the Company Managing Director Andy Minok, he said purchasing a vehicle by the contractor and donating it to NHC was one of the requirement written on the Contract signed.
Tol said this company, Remnant AJ Group Limited was awarded a K3. 2 Million worth Project and that was to fix and connect the sewage system from the MacGregor Police Barracks all the way to the main Sewer.
This contract was awarded to this named company in July last year and this is one of the few contractors who were engaged by NHC not only for the Sewage system but for Electricity connection, Water Connection and many others.
He said the project is about 80 per cent complete and NHC will commission the new sewage system in July this year.

Sound fishy. NHC is not a charity organization.
ReplyDeleteThis is one hell of a business deal,😏😏
ReplyDeleteThis is not a donation. You are fulfilling your contractual requirement. What type of a contract is this? The Ombudsmen need to look into this.
ReplyDeleteRed flags here ,Why would it be stipulated in the contract as a requirement if contract is awarded??
ReplyDeleteNHC is a statutory body and not a NGO group that needs support in kind or monetary terms to carry on daily operational activities.
Nothing is wrong with the contractor in this case. It is clearly stated that the contractor was just fulfilling one of its contractual agreements. And this contractor is actually delivering some quality works. So ol gutpla lain please, yumi noken larim jealousy controllim yumi na comment. Ol bikpla ol foreign companies wok lo stealim billions blo yumi stap na yumi eye pass. But we got good eyes in identifying the faults of our own (local) companies who are struggling to progress. Ooh PNG people pls, jealousy ya jealousy, yumi still go backwards stap ya my goodness!😴😴
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of a contractual obligation is that??? No way, that's sweetener and clearly a corrupt deal. Both recipient and giver are engaged in corruption and should be investigated
DeleteCongratulations Andy,
ReplyDeleteIt's true definition of corruption that is you give me and I'll give you back. Typical corruption there
ReplyDeleteContractual Agreement first of its kind
ReplyDeletedumb deal
ReplyDeleteWe NGO need vehicle to help Children impacted and affected by HIV aids, if you have plenty of money, a plastic of foods would be enough, may you look at us, reply me if you fit.
ReplyDeleteBuy your own car and run the show
DeleteWeird contractor if funds are coming within Government or NHC. If funds are sourced from external sourced and NHC is getting value for money then it's a terms of contract accept it
ReplyDeleteThis doesn’t seems right and doesn’t sound correct in public eyes. Needs investigation
ReplyDeleteWho, in his right frame of mind, would insert a clause that is conditioned upon giving back something to sponsor of a project (NHC)? Clearly it goes against the spirit and intent of National Procurement Act and the PFMA. Investigations should be carried with the matter referred to Ombudsman and the Fraud. Day light fraud it is.
ReplyDeleteAs reading through the paragraph which stated "NHC Acting Managing Director Abel Tol while thanking the Company Managing Director Andy Minok, he said purchasing a vehicle by the contractor and donating it to NHC was one of the requirements written on the Contract signed". If this statement is correctly quoted by this reporter or journalist, then nothing is wrong with the contractor in this case. It is clearly stated that the contractor was just fulfilling one of its contractual agreements.
ReplyDeleteStupid Abel Toll, should never have been the MD.
ReplyDeleteA requirement in the Contract???
ReplyDeleteFirst of its kind, only in NHC.
DeleteTotally wrong
DeleteAnother Corrupt Contract deal of the Current Government leaked. How can a private business donate to the Government⚠️⚠️🔨
