  Opposition Leader Douglas Tomuriesa said he is disappointed and embarrassed over the way His Holiness Pope Francis was treated by Prime Minister James Marape over the last three-days during the Papal visit, and the lack of courtesy and respect shown by the Prime Minister. He said the Prime Minister continuously declares PNG as a ‘Christian country’ and prides himself on being a religious individual but he was surprised when the Pope was continuously snubbed by the PM over the weekend since the Pope’s arrival on Friday. “The Pope is the head of the Catholic church, the largest Christian church in the world and he is also a head of state. “PNG not only being a Christian country, but a country that prides itself as a ‘friend to all, enemy to none’, the PM should be according the Pope with the highest level of respect,” Tomuriesa said. Buria Reds go into Southern league elimination final as underdogs

HIRI’S Buria Reds face Central Dabaris Development in the Southern Super League National Gaming Control Board elimination finals at Moresby South Stadium tomorrow (3pm kick-off).
In the opening fixture at 1pm, Laumas meet Gulf Isou Development.
The winners advancing to the preliminary finals on Feb 26 while the losers bow out of the inaugural title race.
In the main encounter, the Dabaris look to be the better side against the Lealea village team who will be determined to spring an upset.
Without captain Lega Batia due to religious commitments, Dabaris will pin their hopes on forwards Andape Tatape, Jayco Gulo, Robert Nana, Gomara Koba and Moi Goro.
The Dabaris pack will be looking to combine well with their backline combination of Amon Lesley, Darrell Victor, Johnny Benson, Emmanuel Morea and Junior Wala.
The Reds will count on forwards Lahui Ronnie, Danny Doko, Maino Kari and Havea Morea lay the foundation for backs Morea Heni Jr, Avuru Nou, Lou Nou, Morea Tau and Nou Kelly.
The Lealea team have no big-name players, but they play unorthodox style of football which can stun the opposition.
